emu - temporary escapism

The work Temporary Escapism depicts the dual challenges of attempting to escape reality through a mobile game and the difficulties within the game that is the destination of that escape; a psychological loop in which the escape from reality brings temporary relief, while the in-game difficulties create a new desire for escape. This further highlights the very timely complex connection between the real and virtual worlds, including the possibility that escapism can lead to positive change and growth.
