About Chris (Simpsons Artist)

Chris (Simpsons Artist) is a British visual artist and writer whose distinctive blend of humour, surrealism, and emotional honesty has earned him a devoted international following.

Since first sharing his artwork online in 2011, Chris has become a cultural phenomenon, known for his unique visual language —characterised by deliberately awkward drawing, long-form poetic captions, and an unmistakable sense of vulnerability and absurdity. Chris has spent over a decade capturing the tender, awkward, and often painful moments of modern life with uncanny accuracy. His work explores themes of love, identity, childhood, fame, loneliness, and the strange rituals of everyday existence. Despite its humorous surface, there is a deep sincerity at the heart of his practice, inviting audiences to laugh and cry in the same breath.

Chris has collaborated with major brands, publishers, musicians, and filmmakers, and his illustrations and stories have been featured in books, magazines, videos, and exhibitions. In recent years, he has expanded into painting and sculpture, translating his digital language into physical works that maintain his signature tone while opening new emotional dimensions.
