Hairy Monster

Hairy Monster, born in Japan, is the original inventor and artist of fluffy dancing characters. Often naming his characters after random people he has met turning their characters into a character of his own; The Hairy Monster!

"I don't know what I like drawing, I just draw. I meet people and I draw. Maybe more hairy, maybe more fluffy. It depends if I like them haha.

I started drawing stick figures as a child on my family's small farm in Kyoto, it was a very small village with not many people. I used to add more and more lines until they became full and scary. My mother didn't like them much as they were black and white and evil looking. I started to use colour to make my mother happy. I then started to draw my characters depending on my mothers mood. Sometimes she was angry so I drew red and black. Sometimes happy so I drew in yellows. It was only for fun until I moved to London in my teens and started to meet all new people with different, wonderful, colourful characters that the world has to offer. Each hairy monster has a personality and I love every single one of them".
